Liz Walsh holding a comb of beesMy name is Elizabeth Walsh (Liz) and I’m from rural Wisconsin. My undergraduate career was at Ripon College where I majored in Biology and English. I have been a beekeeper since I was a young high school student and I enjoy working on applied honey bee biological research. I am a PhD candidate in Dr. Juliana Rangel’s laboratory at Texas A&M University, where my research primarily focuses on in-hive pesticides, such as active ingredients in miticides and other agrochemicals, and their impact the health, physiology, and behavior of queens.
