Professional Summary
Hsiao-Hsuan ‘Rose’ Wang, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University. She is interested in developing analytical techniques for characterizing spatiotemporal patterns over a range of spatial and temporal scales as a means of identifying critical, pattern-forming ecological processes. Her recent research has focused on application of these techniques to topics ranging from endangered species management to management of invasive species to management of vectors of emerging diseases. She has been collaborating with multinational modeling groups sponsored by the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS) and by the National Social-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC), both based in the U.S., and by the Lorentz Center, based in the Netherlands, and serves as Editor-in-Chief for the international journal Ecological Modelling, Editor for Socio-Environmental Systems Modelling, and Associate Editor for both Biological Invasions and Plant Ecology.”
