Professional Summary

Fang Wang is a Research Associate in the Department of Entomology, in Dr. Myles’ lab. Her earlier work primarily focused on the molecular breeding of horticultural plants to enhance disease resistance, quality, and nutrient content using molecular marker-assisted selection and transgenic methods. Currently, her research involves generating mosquito mutants using CRISPR-Cas9 and P-element transposon methods to support various studies. She is also actively involved in vector-antiviral research and gene drive studies. Additionally, she contributes to all aspects of general laboratory and insectary maintenance.
