Professional Summary

Jennifer Rhinesmith-Carranza, Ph.D., is a former student and lecturer for the Department of Entomology, where she teaches or has taught several classes with content focused in medical entomology, public health entomology, forensic entomology, and student success. Her research interests include interspecific competition of forensically relevant insects, chemical and behavioral ecology, public health, forensic practitioner continuing education, pedagogy, and the student experience and development of leaders in higher education settings. Dr. Rhinesmith-Carranza also serves as the Director of Academic Advising for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, where she supports and directs the college’s advising team.
