Professional Summary
Junepyo Oh, Ph.D. is a doctoral student in the Texas A&M University Department of Entomology. His research interests lie in the interaction between potato psyllid and the bacterial pathogen, ‘Candidatus liberibacter solanacearum’ (Lso). His research aims at understanding how these bacteria infect the vector gut for the successful transmission. The objective is to identify weak links in this interaction that can be used to disrupt the transmission cycle. These are novel and promising approaches to control vector-borne diseases.
