Professional Summary

James Riggs is a Ph.D. student in the Texas A&M University Department of Entomology. His research interests lie in sustainability and circular economies, currently focusing on cold storage of the black soldier fly (BSF). This work aims to improve the cost effectiveness of rearing BSF and increase its range for transportation purposes, with the ultimate goal of them being utilized in extraterrestrial colonies, such as Mars.
