Lauren Walker is a graduate student in the Texas A&M University Department of Entomology. Her academic and research interests are in medical entomology and the interdisciplinary field of one health. This work focuses on the effects human, animal, and environmental health have on one another, especially in reference to arboviruses. This ties in her undergraduate degree in Public Health, as educational and other social determinants of health, perpetuate many pervasive diseases.
