Professional Summary

Kelie C. Yoho, Ph.D. is an instructional assistant professor specializing in entomology and forensics education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in forensic science and a master’s degree in entomology with a focus on forensics. Her master’s thesis explored the role of specific volatile organic compounds in attracting necrophilous insects to carrion resources. After shifting her research focus for her doctoral studies, Yoho completed a Ph.D. in agricultural entomology and plant pathology. Her dissertation examined integrated pest management strategies for controlling potato virus Y, a widespread, aphid-vectored plant virus. With a strong background in STEM education, Yoho has been tutoring and teaching since 2011 and was honored with the Best Graduate Teaching Assistant award during her master’s program.
